Review Journal "Teaching Vocabulary Using Flashcard and Word List"
Hello everyone, I haven’t shared it for a long time on
this blog hihi.
Now,
I will review the international journals that I have read before. I hope you
get new knowledge/insight what I will write. In this time, I will discuss about
how to teach effective vocabulary with an easy method.
Before
discuss the point, I want to ask, do you know what is the difference between
international journals and national journals ?. Well there must be some who
already know and don't know. So, international journals are journals that cover
the entire world while national journals only cover the country.

Vocabulary Using Flashcard and Word List
Introduction
Vocabulary is a core component of language skills,
especially in foreign languages. "Vocabulary is an essential component in
second / foreign language learning
because it is needed for expressing meaning and
conveying thoughts through both receptive and productive skills (Mehring, 2005,
Carpenter & Olson, 2011). Furthermore Cameron (2001) believes that
vocabulary is a language learning center at the elementary school level, namely
to increase the language of students. Therefore, a strategy is needed to help students
learn vocabulary.
many
strategies are used by teachers in teaching this vocabulary material, such as
using flashcard and world list. the researchers suggest that the most
influential strategies for increasing this vocabulary are using flashcards (Komachali
& Khodareza, 2012; Schmitt, 1995).
Thornbury
(2002) states that flashcards can help teachers to convey vocabulary material
easily to students.
the study of vocabulary using flashcards and word
lists for young people today is still very rare. This researcher empirically
examines the teaching of vocabulary using flashcard and word list.
Therefore,
Elsa tries to investigate whether flashcard use can help students in vocabulary, and the extent to which word list is a strategy that can help
students learn vocabularies easily.
