Hello everyone, today I
will discuss the similarities and differences of the first and second journals.

Similarities
The similarities of the
two journals lies in the topic of discussion, namely about vocabulary.

Difference
1. Literature Review
〰First Journal
The first journal discusses the meaning of vocabulary and
understanding flashcard. In the literature review of the first journal said
that learning vocabulary is important, therefore, students need to learn
vocabulary so that the vocabulary they learn and understand is much, so it can
be used for everyday life or within the scope of the school. In this first
journal, researchers used flashcard media in their learning. According to him
this media is very effective and easy to use. Besides flash cards, researchers
also use word list.
✔Second Journal
In this second journal researchers used mnemonic media. Certainly
very different from the first journal, it's just that the goal is to increase
the English vocabulary

The first journal discusses in detail the meyhodology of the research. In
the first journal researchers used quantitative data research
- Research Design
This study is to examine the extent to which the use of flashcards and
word lists can be master students' vocabulary. Using two groups, namely the
experimental group and the control group, the experiment uses the flashcard
media and controls using the word list.
- Data collection procedures
First, trials for different classes from the experimental group and
control to determine the validity, reliability which distinguishes the
difficulty index from the items. Of the 50 questions, there are 25 valid
numbers, can be used in the pre and post-test.
The first session, which is the pre-test to find out the mastery of
vocabulary from both classes. During the week, both classes are taught the same
lesson. At the end of teaching, both classes were tested post-test.
- Data analysis
To answer researchers' questions SPSS software is used for data analysis.
1. Determine the average of each group in the pre-test and post-test
using descriptive statistics.
2. To find out about students from both groups in the post-test using the
independent t-test
3. To compare differences before and after treatment in both groups using
paired t-test.
The research subjects from this first journal were 5th grade elementary
school
✔Second journal
In
this second journal, the researcher used quantitative and qualitative data, in
the second journal, the researcher did not explain in detail about research
methodology. The subject of this study was using 20 students of the University
of Muhammadiyah Malang.
That's some similarities and differences from the first and second journals.
