"The Power of Positive Thinking" Chapter 5-6

CHAPTER 5 "HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN HAPPINES"
Quotes "Happiness is indeed our own creation, but from the happiness that we feel does not escape the participation of others".
Many of us make our own unhappiness. of course not all unhappiness is created alone, because the social conditions responsible for not a little our misery. but it is a fact that is largely by our thoughts and attitudes, we filter out from the elements of life both those who are happy and unconscious for ourselves.
It is to pity, too, for there are so many problems created by life itself that dilute your happiness that it is indeed most foolish to distill further unhappiness within your own mind. How foolish to manufacture personal unhappiness to add to all the other difficulties over which you have little or no control!.
Rather than to emphasize the manner in which people manufacture their own happines, let us proceed to the formula for putting an end to this misery-producing process. Suffice it to say that we manufacture our unhappiness by thinking unhappy thoughts, by the attitudes which we habbitually take, such as the negative feeling the everything is going to turnout badly, or that other people are getting what they do not deserve and we are failing to get what we do deserve.
Happiness is developed only by us always thinking positively. Make a mental list of happy thoughts and start always thinking happy every day. If the mind of unhappiness should enter your mind, stop immediately, consciously remove it, and replace the mind with happiness.
CHAPTER 6 "STOP FUMING AND FRETTING"
MANY PEOPLE MAKE life unnccessarily dificult for themselve by dissipating power and energy throught fuming and fretting.
In controlling emotions we must learn a lot about practicing emotional control techniques. controlling emotions is not easy. In order to avoid emotions, you should fill your mind with happiness.
The following is a technique consisting of six points that I personally find very helpful in reducing the tendency to be angry and anxious. I have suggested using it for countless people who practice it and find valuable value. this technique according to Dr. Norman.
1. Sit relaxed in a chair. Completely yield yourself to the chair. starting with your toes and proceeding to the top of your head, conceive every part of the body relaxing. Affirm relaxing and say "My toes is relaxed... my fingers....my facial muscles."
2. Think of your mind as the surface of a lake in a storm, tossed by waves and tumult. But mow the waves subside, and the surface of the lake is placid and unruffled.
3. spend two or three minutes thinking of the most beautiful and peaceful scenes you have ever beheld, as, for example, a mountain at sunset.
4. Repeat slowly, quietly, bringing out the melody in each. a series of words which express quietness and peace.
5. Make a mental list of times in your life when you have been conscious of God's watchful care and recall how, when you were worried and anxious.
6. Repeat the following, which has an amazing power to relax and quiet the mind.
The conclusion is from Chapter 5-6, the point is we must always think positively wherever and whenever. if we feel like we are starting to think negatively, throw it away, or not try this way:
a. Reading motivational books, this is very effective for increasing enthusiasm, returning positive thoughts in us.
b. Look for wise words. for example googling on the internet to look for wise words that can make our minds more positive.
c. Calm the mind by watching yutub which can make us happy again, etc.

Wow. This is so inspiring. I've just realized that it's so true. We often put ourselves in unhappines, in anxious feeling, and keep worrying about some things that actually not to be worried so much. Also, the 6 steps to relax our body by Dr. Norman is very relaxing. I've managed to find peace for some minutes. Well, this is a very good review!π However, if you don't mind, I want to give some support for you :) Hmm.. I found that sometimes you using a bit wrong in punctuation :) So, I hope in your next posts, you can put more attention for this aspect :) Good job!
